Robert is a sound designer for film and splits his time between sound stages and his home studio. His home environment is a spare room that was giving him mixes that were not translating properly due to its size and lack of treatment

This room features one of our “INSTANT STUDIO” designs using stand alone products augmented with 1” 4’ x 3’ fabric wrapped panels. This is an ideal combination for narrow spaces allowing for acoustic control yet easily relocated, all at an affordable price.

Robert purchased a pair of Spatial One monitors (now available through Steven Klein Sound Control Room). The back of the room is treated with QRD diffusors and 3’x 3’ gobos to help control reflections and low frequency. The 3’x 4’ fabric panels on the front wall behind the monitors control the fast first reflections. This proved to be an extremely effective solution and Robert is thrilled with the results.
