Decoupling materials in building systems is the first and most valuable step in achieving isolation. These products help diminish vibration transfer which in turn reduces noise transmission.

Rubber Floor Decoupler
An effective and economical floor floating device, this product is designed for easy application that will grip any 2x lumber. Its medium density is ideal for vibration control.

The average amount required is 85% of the square footage. Take the total square feet and multiply by .85 - Example: Floor Dimension is 20' x 15' = 300 sq.ft.
300 x .85 = 255 decouplers.

Rubber Decoupler

Resilient Sound Isolation Clip – RSIC 1
A low cost, high performance noise control solution. The RSIC 1 clip is designed for use with various wall or floor/ceiling applications to decouple the gypsum board (layering systems) from the structure in wall/floor/ceiling assemblies. The RSIC 1 clip has been acoustically tested and adds 15 – 20 STC points.
