MaxTrap™

The MaxTrap™ is an elegant 24″ × 48″ × 17″ corner-mounted bass trap engineered to deliver powerful low-frequency control while enhancing the overall balance of your room acoustics. Designed as a full-bandwidth acoustic solution, the MaxTrap™ effectively smooths out peaks and valleys in the frequency response, creating a more accurate listening environment.

At the front of the unit is a thick 3″ absorptive panel that captures high and midrange frequencies. Behind it, a solid wood frame forms a deep 17″ acoustic cavity that enhances absorption of lower midrange and bass frequencies. Inside the enclosure, a suspended diaphragm further enhances the trap’s performance, allowing it to absorb low-frequency bass down to approximately 40 Hz.

Where the MaxTrap™ truly excels is in controlling deep low-end energy. The large suspended diaphragm spans the entire internal surface of the trap, acting as a responsive limp-mass absorber. As low frequencies build in the room’s corners, the diaphragm vibrates at the dominant bass frequencies, capturing and dissipating excess energy. This process helps reduce room modes that exaggerate certain frequencies while others disappear, resulting in a tighter, more balanced bass response.

By addressing these low-frequency resonances at their source, the MaxTrap™ significantly improves overall clarity, stereo imaging, and low-end accuracy—making it an invaluable treatment for recording studios, mix rooms, mastering environments, and high-performance home listening spaces.

The MaxTrap™ features a black cabinet paired with a fabric-covered Broadway™ acoustic panel, available in three neutral colors to complement a wide range of interior décors while delivering professional-grade acoustic performance.
