Engineered for both acoustic and fire protection, these pads help preserve the intended STC (Sound Transmission Class) rating of wall systems by effectively sealing openings around electrical boxes and other penetrations. Soft, flexible, and easy to work with, Putty Pads can be hand-applied without cutting or shaping. Each pad is pre-sized to fit standard 1-1/2” deep 4S electrical boxes, streamlining installation and reducing labor time. Their pliable consistency allows them to conform tightly to irregular surfaces and openings, ensuring a reliable seal. Formulated with strong adhesive properties, Putty Pads bond securely to a wide range of substrates, including wood and metal studs, concrete, gypsum board, and most common construction materials.
