FlexiFuser™

The Primacoustic FlexiFuser™ is an innovative acoustic treatment that combines diffusion and absorption in a single device, allowing you to control primary reflections while dispersing high-frequency flutter echo. This hybrid design helps maintain natural room energy while improving clarity and balance in critical listening environments.

Measuring 24″ × 48″ (60.96 cm × 121.92 cm), the FlexiFuser™ features six variable-pitch wooden slats that extend the full height of the panel. Each slat can be rotated to different angles, allowing users to customize how high-frequency energy is dispersed throughout the room. By adjusting the slat orientation, you can fine-tune the spread of reflected sound to best match the room layout and listening position.

Behind the diffuser slats sits a 2″ (5.08 cm) thick high-density acoustic panel that absorbs directional sound energy down to 250 Hz while preventing resonance from building up behind the diffuser surface. This dual-layer approach ensures both controlled reflection and effective absorption, resulting in a more balanced acoustic environment.

The diffuser structure is made from durable, heavy-wood composite, providing strong reflective properties for effective high-frequency dispersion. The FlexiFuser™ ships flat to reduce freight costs and can be assembled in less than 15 minutes using standard household tools.

Each 3″ (7.62 cm) wide diffuser slat can either be fixed into a predetermined position using the included guide pins or left free to rotate after assembly for adjustable acoustic tuning. The absorptive panel is constructed from 6 lb high-density glass wool, delivering consistent absorption throughout the critical lower midrange frequencies. The panel is micromesh-encapsulated with resin-hardened edges and finished with a fabric-wrapped Broadway™ panel in neutral grey, allowing it to blend easily into most room décors.

FlexiFusers™ are typically installed behind the listening position, often in arrays of three or more panels spanning the width of the work area. Panels are mounted using a simple French cleat system, making installation secure and straightforward.

Once installed, the FlexiFuser™ introduces greater space, openness, and depth while simultaneously controlling strong reflections, standing waves, and flutter echoes. This makes it an excellent acoustic solution for control rooms, professional and project studios, critical listening environments, and high-performance home theaters where near-wall reflections can significantly impact sound accuracy.
