London Bass Trap™

The Primacoustic London Bass Trap Kit is designed to control excessive low-frequency buildup that leads to problematic room modes in studios and listening spaces. Because acoustic energy naturally travels along walls and ceilings before concentrating in corners, corner placement is one of the most effective ways to manage bass buildup and improve overall room balance.

Each London Bass Trap kit includes two 24″ × 48″ broadband absorption panels, each 2 inches thick, along with corner-mount Impalers™, sheetrock anchors, and mounting screws for quick and secure installation.

The panels are constructed from high-density 6 lb per cubic foot glass wool, providing exceptional acoustic performance. The edges are resin-hardened for durability, and the entire core is fully encapsulated in micromesh to contain fibers and ensure safe handling. Each panel is then hand-wrapped in acoustically transparent polyester fabric, creating clean, architectural lines that complement professional and home studio environments alike.

Installation is simple—much like hanging a picture. Once mounted across the corner, the panel creates a deep 17-inch air cavity behind it. This air gap significantly increases the trap’s efficiency, enabling broadband absorption across the listening range while extending performance into the low-frequency region. The result is reduced standing waves, fewer low-frequency hot spots, and a more balanced listening environment.
